Mr Roberts and The Majestic Clock Tower

Mr Roberts spent his entire life realising one dream, to build the most majestic clock tower the world had ever seen, he envisioned great crowds of tourists flocking to gaze upon its majesty and his name to be entered in the history books as one of the worlds most revered men. Alas, he spent so much of his time building the tower and awaiting the crowds that he didn't meet any women to be his bride and thus didn't father any children to inherit the tower once he died, and die he did, alone and miserable as nobody came to see the tower, Mr Roberts was full of regret on his last day on Earth and wished he could start again with a different dream. The tower was demolished shortly after his death to make way for a new branch of a popular supermarket chain.
