George Clooney and girlfriend Stacy Keibler looked blissfully happy on the red carpet for the National Board of Review Awards in New York.
And why not? Clooney managed to take best actor for his role in "The Descendants."

"Listen, there's a really nice thing when people who are your contemporaries and your peers like the projects that you're doing. That's a nice feeling because you don't get to do that often. So it's nice when it happens."
Consider this a small preview of what's to come - the Hollywood actor has even more in store at the Golden Globes, where he's nominated for best actor for "The Descendants", and best director, screenplay and picture for "Ides of March".

"They're both very special and I'm very proud of both. And they're both done on a very low budget and our goal is to continue to make films like that that people enjoy that are not just designed for opening weekends."
It's a good thing Miss Keibler won't mind playing dress-up on the red carpet.

"I think it's fun for any girl to sort of wear these fabulous gowns, right? Play dress up, I like it. It's fun."
Tilda Swinton took best actress for "We Need to Talk About Kevin."
And Martin Scorsese's 3D drama, "Hugo" took best film.
After a star studded red carpet, these celebs will be gearing up for the Golden Globe Awards taking place on January 15.
