http://www.nma.tv The White House Twitter account "Rickrolled" a user named David Wiggs after he complained the day's press briefing wasn't entertaining enough. According to The White House website, National Economic Council Deputy Director Brian Deese was manning the account during the exchange. "Rickrolling" surfaced in 2007. It entails sending a bogus link to a friend that directs to the 1987 Rick Astley music video "Never Gonna Give You Up." The prank is widely considered to be outdated. It's the Internet equivalent of telling a "yo mama" joke. Many are asking: Don't politicians have better things to do besides mounting lame attempts at being funny?
