BP and US government disagree on oil cap testing

The new cap installed on the blowout preventer has temporarily stopped the gush of oil into the Gulf. Even though the 48-hours of testing has been completed, BP is planning on keeping the cap until the new relief oil is ready in August. The US government is hesitant, however, as engineers find seepage at the well. As of today, the government is allowing another day of closed-gap, as pressure inside the well continues to rise towards its expected level.
