Music star Dolly Parton takes a stroll down the red carpet for the premiere of "Joyful Song"

"She's great and I think our voices blended well. Our styles of music are different, we grew up in different places but that's what's great about being in this business. You get to do all kinds of things with all kinds of different people and it kind of stretches you a little bit too. So, I may have her on the grand old opera and she might have me on the road doing a rap song for all I know. Not likely."

STORY:
Music super stars Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah share the red carpet on Monday night, January 9, for the premiere of "Joyful Noise." This is the first time the two singers team up for a big screen project.
The two women play opposing roles in "Joyful Noise," a film about an Atlanta church choir trying to win a national competition. For Parton, this was an opportunity to stretch her talents with one of the music industry's biggest names. She spoke about the film, and about fellow music royalty Beyonce's newborn, Ivy Blue Carter.
"Joyful Noise" hits U.S. theaters January 13.
