This thief (K-20) is characters of the boy-oriented detective story "boy detective team" serialized from 1936 to 1962.
This is my imagination.
Author Rampo Edogawa of the "boy detective team" was inspired by "Emil und die Detektive (1931)" of the Billy Wilder scenario. Didn't he write the novel?
