Man in court over Indian student murder

A 20-year-old man charged with the murder of Indian student Anuj Bidve arrives at a Manchester court.
Kiaran Stapleton told the court his name was "Psycho Stapleton". He was remanded in custody for 24 hours.
Bidve, a postgraduate student from Lancaster University was shot dead on Boxing Day in the northern English city of Salford.
He had been part of a group of Indian students visiting Manchester for a short break over Christmas.
Later on Monday, hundreds of people gathered to hold a candle-light vigil at the place where he was shot.
The student's father said he found out about his son's death on Facebook before officers contacted him.
Speaking in India, Bidve's family urged for a quick repatriation of his body.
(SOUNDBITE) COUSIN OF KILLED INDIAN STUDENT ANUJ BIDVE, SURUCHI BIDVE, SAYING(English):
"And now we want to appeal to the Indian High Commission to expedite this process of repatriation as soon as Anuj is handed over to them. We also strongly appeal for justice and we are hopeful that the person who is charged will be proven guilty in the court and justice will be done. We have complete trust and confidence in the Greater Manchester police."
Five people in total have been arrested, three released on bail, pending further inquiries.
