Isham Jones & His Orchestra - For All We Know

I was convinced I uploaded this rendition before but it is nowhere to be found. Hence I eventually (re?)posted it. Isham Jones (1894-1956) grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, where he started his first band. In 1915 he moved to Chicago, which remained his base through 1924. After that he toured England before reestablishing himself in New York. He led one of the most popular dance bands in the 1920s and 1930s. Around 1930, when he recorded for Brunswick, he started featuring violinist Eddie Stone as one of his regular vocalists. His later Victor releases had an almost symphonic sound. He stayed with Victor until July 1934, when he signed with Decca. After he left Decca, he signed with ARC from 1937 to 1938, when he retired and his orchestra was taken over by band member Woody Herman. This wonderful record was made in 1930. Vocal by Joe Martin.
