Obama's Libya speech muddies the waters further

http://www.nma.tv/ President Barack Obama spoke to the American people last night about why he went to war in Libya. He said it was the US' duty to stop the slaughter of the Libyan people. Although he said the Libyan people would be better off without Gadaffi, he said regime change wasn't part of the UN mandate. Obama also said that Libya would not become another Iraq as the the US could not "afford" it. Obama's speech is sure to have left many in the Middle East confused, as while he said America would help those in need he did not clarify what it meant to be "in need". The speech also confused many in the US, upsetting both the peace-loving anti-war crowd and the trigger-happy conservatives in equal measure.
