In July 2010, Kenyan organisation Maji na Ufanisi began work funded by Christian Aid to improve sanitation and bring clean water to Nairobi's Matopeni settlement. Seven months later, the slow process of getting approval from the relevant authorities has meant that work on water pipes and taps is yet to start. Although they are frustrated by the delay, the community remains committed to the project and Maji na Ufanisi plan to complete this work by August 2011.
