http://www.christianaid.org.uk/hiv This World AIDS Day, Christian Aid and Magnum Photos present powerful stories of brave people around the world who are living with HIV under the shadow of stigma. Shobha from India found out she was HIV-positive when she was four months pregnant with her second child. When she went to hospital to give birth she says she was mistreated and ignored by doctors, who refused to visit her on their rounds or provide antiretrovirals for her baby. Now Shoba works with Christian Aid partner SPAD (Society for People's Action and Development). A main focus of SPAD's work is the reduction of mother to child transmission of HIV.
