In Nigeria, Christian Aid has reached more than 16,000 children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV, over the last five years. Our local partners provide care and support including important nutritional advice to families. Widows and older children caring for younger orphaned siblings are given the opportunity to join Savings and Loans Associations, helping them to set up small business initiatives so they can earn money to support themselves and the children left behind.
