Dozens of Occupy DC demonstrators gathered in front of an historic hotel in Washington DC Thursday night to protest a Democratic party fundraising event inside.
Protesters shouted slogans and held signs to express their frustration with what they see as an explosion of corporate interest in the American political system.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee was charging between $5,000 to $75,000 USD for a seat at the fundraising dinner, that was aimed at benefiting 15 Democratic House members seeking reelection.
