Pakistan shuts down border

Trucks carrying supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan are being turned back at Pakistan's border. Thousands of trucks are now stranded near the border. Much of the area looks like a container yard since Islamabad decided to close its borders with Afghanistan.
The move by Islamabad is retaliation for a NATO airstrike killed 24 Pakistani troops over the weekend.
Since almost half of NATO coalition supplies comes through Pakistan, cutting the supply route could deal a serious blow to the U.S. military mission in Afghanistan.
The deadly airstike has brought already heated tension between the U.S. and Pakistan to a full boil. In Lahore, protesters chanted the "only remedy for America is jihad."
