Actors Andy Lau and Deanie Ip rode to victory at Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards for their leading roles in the Hong Kong produced film, "A Simple Life."
Known as the Asian Oscars, this was Ip's third award after her 1999 and 1981 wins for supporting actress.

"Thank you everybody. And I also want to thank Andy Lau and the director Ann Hui, because if it had not been for their help and guidance, I would have never been able to perform this well. This is hugely lucky for someone my age. I feel very lucky. Thank you everybody."
Hui was awarded best director, which brought in a total of three awards for the film.

"I am very happy. I did not expect to take home an award tonight. I am very relieved that we won an award for the movie, since we came in a large group today. So it is good to take an award home with us."
But the proud cast of Taiwan's "Warriors of the Rainbow" riled up fans on the red carpet, taking the top honor for best feature film.
