Australian boy jailed over drugs

A Bali court sentenced a 14-year-old Australian boy to two months in jail for possessing 3.6 grammes of Marijuana.
This is a lighter sentence than that sought by prosecutors after Canberra asked for leniency.
The teenager was on holiday in Bali when he was caught with the drug.
He is expected to be released in early December as he has already served most of the time since his detention in October.
Friends and neighbours were relieved to hear the sentence.

Indonesia has a maximum penalty for drugs possession of 12 years in jail, and smugglers can face the death sentence.
