ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: British teenager Reece Martin was named the winner of Australia's X-Factor on Tuesday (November 22). Sixteen-year-old Mastin moved to Australia six years ago from Lincolnshire in the east of England. Mastin, who now lives in the South Australian city of Adelaide, said despite his win, he still plans to finish high school. The day after his win, the spikey-haired singer told a morning show he was grateful for the support he received from the U.K. "It's cool to get be getting support back from England as well. So I'm happy the family is still back there, still supporting," he said. According to the Herald Sun newspaper, Mastin is set to release a record with Sony on December 9.
