Soyuz crew arrives aboard ISS
The Soyuz TMA-22 spacecraft approaches the International Space Station to deliver a fresh crew to the freefalling science lab.
And here, the Russian space craft successfully docks - three days after blasting off in Kazakhstan.
After the hatches between the Soyuz and the ISS are opened, the outgoing crew welcomes the incoming trio at the beginning of their four-month stay.
The six crew members will have less than one week together before the Expedition 29 crew heads back to earth on Monday.
Their departure will mark the beginning of Expedition 30 - and a formal change of command ceremony is slated for Sunday.
Three additional flight engineers are scheduled to head to the space station on December 21.
