Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam once vowed to fight and die on Libyan soil. Today --- a National Transitional Council official says Gaddafi may be ready to turn himself in rather than suffer a fate similar to his father's. Reuters has learned that Saif al-Islam has proposed surrendering to International Criminal Court in the Hague where he is wanted for war crimes. Educated at the London School of Economics, Saif al-Islam was once seen as the acceptable Western-friendly face of Libya. Adding to that was his reputation for philanthropy and the fact that he often appeared to disagree with the senior Gaddafi's leadership style. All of this changed, however, with the rebellion that eventually took down his father. Three of Gaddafi's sons have died on Libyan soil. His four other surviving children are in exile in Niger and Algeria. Saif al-Islam is the only one still on the run. Deborah Gembara, Reuters.
