In typically adventurous fashion, Sir Richard Branson christens his latest endeavor, "Virgin Galactic Gateway to Space" - the next step towards realizing his dream of commercial space travel. SOUNDBITE: Virgin founder, Sir Richard Branson, saying (English): "We're very, very close now to ... with the Spaceport finished, with the mother ship finished, with the spaceship finished, with the final tests going on, to starting commercial spaceship travel." The $209 million U.S. dollar, taxpayer-financed center in New Mexico is already home to two test spacecraft, WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo. And Branson isn't confident for nothing. He hopes his first paid commercial space flights will take off in early 2013 - and he's already sold 450 tickets at $200,000 U.S. dollars each. Tara Cleary, Reuters.
