The Madariaga-College of Europe Foundation sat down with Martin Jacques, author of "When China Rules the World: the Rise of the Middle Kingdom and the End of the Western World", for an exclusive interview on China's rise and its impact on the Western world. In the interview Jacques spoke about China's own distinctive model of development, the challenge posed by China's rise to Western ways of thinking and behaviour and the relationship between China and the European Union in the wake of the eurozone debt crisis. The exclusive interview preceded a lecture delivered by Martin Jacques at one of the Madariaga-College of Europe Foundation's lunchtime meetings.
