Fighting intensifies on the frontline of Sirte - as forces of Libya's interim government try to overcome Muammar Gaddafi loyalists.
The commander of the National Transitional Council forces said Gaddafi loyalists had tried ambushing his fighters from all sides and his men had returned fire.

"We are responding to their fire, we are not entering Sirte today."
The NTC fighters fired from anti-aircraft machine guns mounted on their trucks - and launched rocket-propelled grenades at the Gaddafi loyalists.
By Monday afternoon, at least 12 rebel fighters injured in the fight were transported to a field hospital.
Medics tended to the wounded at a makeshift hospital located in a mosque - about a mile from the frontline.
Over the past two weeks, anti-Gaddafi forces had launched a steady fight for Sirte - trying to take over Gaddafi's birthplace - and one of the last loyalists city's in Libya.
