http://www.FTV.com/videos - Even as heavyweights like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce made an appearance at the main event and added to the sparkle around it all, the Vera Wang collection for the New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 runway held its own with peplums--THE trend that everyone's talking about for the upcoming season. There were also tiny vests (Beyonce wore a leather one over a tulle and chiffon bubble skirt) and leggings. Interesting how Vera did something that was commonly seen on the NYFW runway at shows like Diane von Furstenberg--she started in white and slowly plucked in the color palette so that by the end the prints were all over the place. It was almost 60s psychedelic, many fashion media personalities said. She was trying very hard this time, many people said and it worked because the collection became a real crowd pleaser.
