The Ukrainian special police units killed at least two people in a shootout with gunmen in the southern city of Odessa on Saturday using machine guns and grenade launchers.
Two suspected contract killers were hiding in a private house in the city and refused to surrender after police blocked the district and made an attempt to arrest them.
The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said the police had no losses as result of firelight.
