A rare day in the UK - as beachgoers enjoy the October sunshine, in a country where even a midsummer swim can be chilly. Temperatures Saturday reached 29.9 degrees Celsius, setting a new record high for this time of year. And these people are taking full advantage of the heat wave at a beach in East Sussex. The previous record was set in Cambridgeshire in 1985. The hot weather is set to persist throughout the weekend.
