Originally a violinist, Selvin probably made more records than any other bandleader from the late 1910's through the 1930's. After his recording career he remained active in record business as artistic director till the 1960's. The vocal on this sparkling 1931 recording is uncredited. It was a tune featured in the Earl Carroll Vanities of the same year. I included some visual material referring to these shows, similar to, but less famous than the Ziegfeld Follies.
