Island on high alert as Typhoon Nesat reaches China's Hainan

Typhoon Nesat has made its way to the Chinese island of Hainan in the South China Sea. About 58,000 people living on Hainan have been evacuated. As the storm approached, the Chinese authorities took preventative measures including recalling fishing boats and cancelling ferry services.
