Paul McCartney marks another milestone

Paul McCartney straps on his dancing shoes.
The former Beatle premiered his first-ever score written for dance at the New York City Ballet's Fall Gala.
Titled, Ocean's Kingdom, the ballet is the first time Paul has written an original orchestral score or any kind of music for a ballet.
With a goal to tell a story, McCartney focused on the purity of the ocean - and within two months the score's foundation was created.
McCartney spent weeks with New York City Ballet's Master in Chief Peter Martins, in order to fine tune the work and even tapped into his inner 'tiny dancer'.
SOUNDBITE: Paul McCartney, musician, saying (English):
"At the beginning of the third movement I said, 'ok, she's in prison' - I imagined her. Peter goes, 'I love it.' So that's the kind of thing that I'm excited about with the collaboration."
McCartney's fashion designer daughter, Stella, created the costumes for the ballet, making this the first time the duo has collaborated.
The red carpet premiere of the Ocean's Kingdom featured a mix of Stella's fashion forward friends and Paul's rock buddies.
Actresses Naomi Watts and Sarah Jessica Parker shared the limelight with Stella.
And rock stars Jon Bon Jovi and E-Street band member Steven Van Zandt bought their musical ears.
The recording of the score will be released on CD, vinyl and digitally on October 4th.
