Gucci's Spring 2012 collection kicked off Milan Fashion Week, showcasing its luxury ready-to-wear line that was royal enough for the label's 90th anniversary.
Golds were a consistent trend from what was seen at New York's Fashion Week, demonstrating the desire for that luxury look.
The brand's Italian designer Frida Giannini was all about Art Deco.
A few of her designs roared 20s, including her take on this sequined flapper dress.
And following suit was British designer John Richmond, who draped long tassels to achieve this same shape-shifting effect.
But the crystal embroidery, studs and lace gave a rock vibe to his catwalk collection.
Milan Fashion Week will feature over 70 designers until September 27.
