Bonet de San Pedro - A la pálida luz de la luna
  • 13 years ago
Bonet de San Pedro (1917-2002, né Pedro Bonet Mir) began his musical career in the 1930s, playing with the Orquesta de Tomeu Mayans at Palma de Mallorca. His next moves were performing with two Barcelona based bands, the Gran Orquesta de Ramón Evaristo and the Orquesta Gran Casino. In 1942 he founded his own group, Bonet de San Pedro y los 7 de Palma. The lineup was: Joachim Aza, p; Benedicto, d; Jaume Villagrasa b; Miquel Roselló and Tenor Josita, git, v; Jaume Vilas, vn, v; Bonet de San Pedro, leader, sax, cl, vib, v. Gradually, the band composition partly changed. He remained active well into the 70s-80s, performing in large audience TV shows. He was a prolific songwriter and performed with many different Spanish artists. This exquisite slow fox was recorded in 1942, and the uncredited vocalist might be Miquel Roselló.
