Medvedev visits plane crash site

A bunch of flowers and a quiet moment of reflection - Russia's president pays his respects to the 43 people who died in a plane crash on the previous day.
Thirty six of those who died where players and team officials from Yarsolavl Lokomotiv, one of Russia's top ice hockey teams.
The Soviet-designed Yak-42 passenger plane slammed into the banks of the Volga River just outside Yaroslavl, killing all but two of those on board.
The two survivors - including one player - are in a critical condition.
Medvedev said the country was in shock after the accident.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) RUSSIAN PRESIDENT DMITRY MEDVEDEV:
"First of all, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the nearest and dearest of those who died in the air crash which happened in Yaroslavl. Of course, it is a shock for the whole country, as is usual when these crashes happen".
On Wednesday night, fans gathered at the Locomotiv stadium to hold a makeshift memorial.
Lokomotiv's squad includes players and coaches from several countries and the tributes have been pouring in from around the world.
But it is here where the tragedy will be felt the most.
