David Soul (born 28th August 1943) is an American-British actor and singer, best known for his role as Detective Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchinson in the television programme Starsky and Hutch (1975-1979). David Soul was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States, as David Richard Solberg. In September 2004, David Soul became a British citizen, though he retained his US citizenship. David married his long-term partner Helen Snell in June 2010.
