Last year Russia's human rights representative Ella Pamfilova became so disillusioned by the state of affairs in the Russian capital, that she resigned.She had been slammed by civil rights activists for not being outspoken enough, and she fell out of favor with Vladimir Putin's Unity party after criticizing the Nashi political youth movement and other organizations close to the government. Unable to please anyone, she gave up.
