GO TO -- http://islam-the-best-religion.blogspot.com/ -- THE HOLY AL QURAN (33:56) INSTRUCTS US TO RECITE

DUROOD AND SALAM TO HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H.) - Almighty Allah says: "Surely Allah and His Angels

send blessings on the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim). O you who believe! Send Blessings (Durood) and Salutations

(Salaams) on the Prophet with worthy Salutation". (Surah al-Ahzab: 56) ---

In the eyes of Allah Almighty reading Durood Shareef is of paramount importance, otherwise Allah Almighty would not have

commanded us to do so, as is the case in this ayat above.

‘Durood’ is a Persian word which has been adapted into Urdu. The equivalent for ‘Durood’ in Arabic is ‘Salaah’, which means

blessings, mercy and supplications.

Reciting
(‘sallallahu alyihi wa sallam’) whenever the name of the Prophet [saw] is heard, written or read is an act of great virtue and excellence.
