Filmed by the BBC in 1961, the film shows the day when Exeter's Merchant House was moved 100 metres up a hill to make way for a new road system. The house was placed at the end of a row of shops, next to the old West Gate. It is now a wedding gown shop, and has many visitors who come to see 'The House that Moved'.
