How to stop parents from aborting their female child?

Q : My brother in law and his wife had recently found that the baby they are going to have is a girl and they want to abort it. Right now, they have only one 6 year old daughter. I wanted to convince them not to do this, but I have not been able to convince them. Please Guruji, guide me as to what should I do? Both are in the USA and they do not want to have any relationship with me, as I strictly said to them that what they are doing is murder and I cannot allow that. Please guide me as to what I can do to stop them! Gurumaa Well Rose, you have done a very correct thing. Even if they sever their relationship with you, I think you would be better off than to have a relationship with such a person who is as cruel as these people are - who can kill their own baby. They could definitely snap the life out of you too. This is the sheer ignorance of Punjabis, North Indians who think they are most boisterous & prosperous people, but they are really paupers in their heads and that is how they are unashamed of even killing their own daughter. I think you have done your best to make them understand, but if they are still blocked in their heads, you cannot do anything. But I think you should still keep on trying & trying. Or maybe you can threaten them that you are going to report to the police and do dare to do that. Tell them I am going to report to the police because any doctor who performs such abortion where the sex determination test has been done, those people are liable for punishment, those parents can be punished, their doctor can be punished, that hospital can be punished. So if you are not a coward, then take a stand & fight for it, fight for that unborn girl. And please do report back to me what happens in this case. I would like to know more about you & more about them who these people are. May be where any get together or party is happening, you may mention this & announce it so that other people come to know what a heinous crime they are committing. Such people should be debarred, should be forbidden to go into any Gurudwara or Temple. They should not be allowed to socialise because a person who can be this cruel to ones own unborn baby can be really cruel to other fellow beings too.
