Electric pop and modern ballet fans were treated to a unique collaboration between the radical choreographer and veteran electronic pop icons in an exciting new ballet project that sees fairytale creator extraordinaire, Hans Christian Anderson’s story come to life on stage. Originally written in 1870, the story touches on hope and power, and tells of a contest to produce the most incredible thing in order to win half the kingdom and the hand of the princess. The ballet also features contributions from other acclaimed artists such as film and animation BAFTA winner, Tal Rosner, designs by Tony Award winner, Katrina Lindsay and music from a 26-piece orchestra and dance from a cast of 15. WinkBall video reporters Zoe, Karen and Joanna attended the show to ask fans what they thought of the mix-up of mediums between synthpop dance music and modern ballet?
