English rock band Beady Eye featuring former Oasis member Noel Gallagher played at Troxy on Wednesday, 9th March to an intimate crowd of alternative rock fans. The end of Oasis marked the beginning of Beady Eye when Liam joined up with fellow guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Chris Sharrock. The band began writing and recording new material in November 2009, and released their first album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, in February 2011. The band is undertaking a short promotional tour of the UK and Europe in March as well as the Isle of Wight Festival in June. So far fans name Bring the Light, Four Letter Word and The Roller as favourite tracks. WinkBall video reporters were at Troxy to find out fans thoughts of their performance and how they compare to the mighty Oasis, who still hold the Guinness World Record for being the ‘Most Successful Act of the Last Decade’ in the UK between 1995 and 2005.
