The Tunesters - Ain't She Sweet?

By special request I upload the flip side of my previous post. This a really stunning record, taking into account this is a 1927 private recording made by a an amateur band! It seems they occasionally played locally at colleges and events in the Massachusetts area. The vocal is by uncredited band members. Obviously, no further information or photographic material is available. Nevertheless, how lucky we are having this rare performance, privately recorded at the New York Columbia studios... It should be noted the disc surface was quite damaged by several nasty clicks and cracks. Despite painstaking restoration I could not avoid losing half a second of music. I trust this won't prevent you from enjoying this outstanding version of a very famous standard, even covered by "a certain" band which used to be called The Beatles. What a joy to hear these obscure anonymous mus!cians deliver a version just as great isn't it.
