They were once one of the world’s most spectacular cultural monuments. But 10 years after the Taliban blew up Afghanistan’s famed Bamiyan buddhas, there is still no agreement on whether to reconstruct the icons. The UN’s cultural body UNESCO is meeting in Paris this week to discuss the future of the Buddhas, but many Afghans say they want the statues rebuilt. A voiced AFPTV report.
