Clarence House has confirmed that Prince Harry will be the best man at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Kate's maid of honour will be her sister, Philippa Middleton.

The couple have chosen four bridesmaids and two page boys - two of whom are the Prince's godchildren.

The bridesmaids are Lady Louise Windsor, seven, Margarita Armstrong-Jones, eight, Eliza Lopes, three, and three-year-old Grace van Cutsem - Prince William's goddaughter.

The page boys are William Lowther-Pinkerton, 10, and eight-year-old Tom Pettifer. Tom is the godson of Prince William.

A St James's Palace spokesman said details of the bridesmaids' dresses and the page boys' uniforms will be made available on the wedding day.

William and Kate get married at Westminster Abbey on April 29th. Millions of people in the UK will have time off for the bank holiday.

The wedding details were revealed on the same day that it was announced that the couple would be paying an official visit together later this month to the university where they met.

Prince William is also to take on the role of patron of St Andrews University's 600th Anniversary appeal.
