Nicole Scherzinger and Katy Perry appeared on the British X Factor last year to cover for Cheryl Cole, and it has been reported they could be offered a place.
The music mogul is also said to be considering former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, and Destiny's Child singer, Kelly Rowland.
The winner of the series will receive a $5million record deal, the largest guaranteed prize in television history.
Auditions are due to commence in LA on March 27.
