“One room of memories” is the title of a multimedia Installation which brings together both languages of Video and Photography in an artistic approach to the theme of Jewish folk’s migrations.
Its outcome crowns a complex creation process started with a series of performances held in January 2010 at the Jewish Community House of Berlin, in which participated thirteen Jewish women of different ages with immigration background.
The core of this panoptical artwork consists of a video installation in form of a triptych, in which images of the performances are shown. In its multifaceted, steadily changing images, the stories told by the women about their migration experiences weave together, forming with the linking moments of their artistic action a unique space of memories, whose content transcends the personal experiences and makes each story emerge as a thread in an all-embracing tapestry.
