Robert Duvall cements his career in Hollywood

Legendary movie actor Robert Duvall, best known for his part in the Godfather movies, has been honored in Hollywood.

This week at the world famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre, veteran Duvall set his hands and feet in cement as he was honoured for his 50 years in the film business.

It was a double celebration for Bobby as he turned 80 on Wednesday, he is also tipped for an Oscar nomination for his role in Get Low.

His good friends, Billy Bob Thornton and Godfather star James Caan, joined him at the ceremony.

Thornton paid tribute, he said: "This guy was my hero, friend, mentor, everything. I had the pleasure of directing Bobby, writing for him and acting with him a few times. It's always been one of the honours of my life."
