The joys of the holiday season have done nothing to ease growing tensions within the Eurozone. Countries like Portugal, Greece and Ireland have focused their frustrations squarely on Germany. They're accusing Chancellor Angela Merkel of abandoning European solidarity when it's most needed, which has threatened to destabilize bailout efforts and left EU member states dangling in the wind.Chancellor Merkel has sharply rejected both the concept of a Eurobond and proposals to increase the current rescue fund.
