http://www.newsvend.com - A new study, carried out by the Pew Research Centre in the US, has found that older people are increasingly using the internet for the same purposes as younger generations.

Some 76 per cent of web users aged 50-64 check online news sources regularly and 42 per cent said they did so on a ‘typical day’. Among the 65 and overs, 62 per cent check news online, with 34 per cent doing so daily.

The study found that online news is also popular with younger web users, with 44 per cent of 18-29 year-old checking news daily.
