When Gerard Houllier's first stint in English football ended in 2004, Blackpool had just finished as the 58th best team in the country. Six years and two promotions later, the Seasiders are proving a breath of fresh air in the top flight and sit a point above Houllier's Aston Villa.
We're starting to look as good as some of the sides we are playing. We need to keep going, but considering what some of our boys are getting paid, it's absolutely remarkable
