Angelina Jolie spotted on set in Budapest

Angelina Jolie has been spotted filming her controversial directorial debut in Budapest.

The Oscar-winning actress is making a movie about a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the Bosnian war, in which 100,000 people were killed between 1992 and 1995.

Filming was set to conclude in November in Bosnia until a Bosnian minister had cancelled a permit to shoot in the country, citing incomplete paperwork.

Jolie has said the film would not meddle in politics, but an association of female victims from the Bosnian war has already objected to what it says are details of the plot.

Jolie, who is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency UNHCR, sent a letter to the women's group last week to reassure them about her film and proposed to meet them the next time she comes to Sarajevo. According to her production company, things are now back on track.

A press release said: "Angelina is coming, her arrival depends only on how much longer the shooting in Budapest lasts. For now they are on schedule, so we expect one part of the crew to arrive here in ten days. Our job will be to make Angelina feel at home, just like the first time she was here."
