British airways is expected to announce first-half pre-tax profits later.
It is thought the airline will reveal first-half pre-tax profits of £70million.
This comes comes after the company announced in July a pre-tax loss of £164m for April to June. This was blamed on cabin crew strike action and the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud.
It has also been reported that BA boss, Willie Walsh, will receive a 12 per cent pay increase and an annual bonus of up to £1.65m when he seals a £4 billion merger with Spain's Iberia.
The pay rise comes as BA cabin crew prepare to vote on a peace offer that could end a year-long industrial dispute.
