Anzac Day is a day that is enshrined in Australian tradition. On the 25th of April every year, Australians celebrate their historic contribution to World War 1, as part of the British attack on Turkey which was at the time the home of the capital of the Uthmani Khilafah (Ottoman Empire). This offensive, now remembered by a typical candle-lit, dawn service was itself part of greater British efforts to dismantle the Khilafah, which it eventually succeeded in doing, through their agent Mustafa Kemal Attaturk.

Is there then in such a tradition anything to celebrate or commemorate?
